Our Vision

When we spoke with you before we left we said that we hoped this experience would help us to discover what our next step may look like. There have been many factors that have led us to a decision. Some have been seminary classes, learning from teammates' experiences, engaging in ministry on the college campus, in our neighborhood and at an inner city school each week, growing in our understanding of our passions and gifts, prayer and reflection, study of scripture, and feedback from those who know us well (in no particular order).

As some of you know, Jason was offered a position as the youth coordinator for the Bridge Ministry of Acadiana before we left. And I was offered the privilege of working alongside him as his ministry partner. We have accepted those positions and start working May 25th! We will mainly be working with Jr. High and High School youth from the neighborhood.
We also are committed to continue seeking personal development through studies and short term trips abroad as we hope to one day engage in work overseas.

We are extremely excited about this opportunity and are anxious to get back to our home Louisiana and start building relationships.











Here are some of our prayer needs:

• Housing, we are currently homeless, ha well we will be staying in Lake Arthur with Lacey's family until we find a place and commuting. We want to be as close to the neighborhood as possible and to have a short lease as we are hoping to transition into the neighborhood itself when appropriate.
• Finances, God has always provided and we are trusting Him to remain faithful in this way. In order to quickly pay off our remaining school loans and car note we have decided to change our lifestyle. We are seeking wisdom in whether Lacey should get a second job or put all of her effort into the Bridge.
• Favor with the residents of the BRIDGE neighborhood, including the whole family especially the youth.
  
• Wisdom, we want to enter into relationships and their culture as learners, being sensitive to their needs both spiritual and physical. We need wisdom to know how to correctly relate to the residents and in planning activities, etc.
  
• Fertile soil, Matthew 13:2-23 - that God would prepare the hearts of those we'll come in contact with, and that they would receive the good news of Jesus Christ and be transformed.
